New Century Ophthalmology opened it's doors in 2001 when Dr. Vinod Jindal chose to move to Oxford, NC, bringing his years of international ophthalmic experience to patients in the Granville County area.

Our History

This practice was the first Ophthalmology practice in Granville County and First Vitreo-Retinal Specialty service in four counties, including Vance and Warren. Dr. Jindal started his practice with a focus on Diseases and Surgery of Retina and Vitreous, but the local needs required him to spread into other areas of Ophthalmology. He has performed more than 15,000 procedures including Cataracts, Glaucoma, and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeries. A second location was opened during December 2009 in Raleigh, NC as “New Century Ophthalmology Group”. This location is a blend of Ophthalmologists and Ophthalmologists to cover complete eye care, including full medical, laser, surgical, and all aspects of optical.
